Are you new to DSMs or just link? Ecmlink has a ton of start up info on the web sight. What kind of guidance are you looking for specifically. Do you have it installed? Have you connected to it. Do you have a wideband a/f gauge? If you don’t it will be harder to tune. If you have connected to it then you need to post a log so everyone can see what is going on with your car.

With such a vague posts containing 7 words, 1 period and no capital letters you are very unlikely to receive much help. There is an abundance of useful information both here and on the ecmlink database that is easily searchable and should get you started. Do some research and/or be more specific about the guidance you are looking for.

new to link. have wb02. where should i mount wb02?

Install it in the o2 sensor position. Then you will need to go into link and simulate o2 with wide band. Make sure to calibrate the wide band befor driving the car.

wb not installed yet. how do I upload a log from ecmlink?

got it. here is the file

What injectors do you have. A list of aftermarket parts in your profile will help diagnose problems.

car isn't making boost like it did a week ago, before I installed ecmlink

First your wideband question was a simple answer by just googling “Wideband Install DSM”. There are various links and videos there to get you well on your way.

Second, if you are asking for log advice you need to fill out the template when posting in the tuning section. Yes, it requires you to do some work but its necessary to get started.

Read the sticky threads and most importantly completly fill out your profile by following this STICKY. Yours is filled out but you should add the BOV is vented.

Also, simply Googling or searching about venting the BOV on a MAF car will show you these RESULTS. This THREAD should get you started. Basically you are letting an undetermined amount of air out of the intake pipes that the stock MAF and computer are adding air for. You will run rich and it can cause issues.

I would suggest that you follow this THREAD and this THREAD. Do some work to figure out the required information and post a new thread with a more specific and valid title to receive any additional help. Simply posting vague descriptions of problems you think you are having is not nearly enough information. Help us help you and yes, that will require a lot of work on your end.

Also for future posts, please use proper punctuation, capitalization and grammar.

honestly, no one should help you until you can at least figure out what your are asking.

I was pretty clear what i was asking. I thought this site was for help and talking about our cars. All i seem to get is half-assed answers, compliants about grammar and criticism. There is no instruction manual for ecmlink. That's why i came to this site for info. I would think the moderators (boostedbeaver) would at least give some encouragement. Maybe someone can tell me how to fill out the template that i can't seem to find and didn't open when i filled out my profile.

Do you really think this is clearly asking anything?

new to ecm link. looking for guidance

This site is for help and that is exactly why members replied to your asinine posts that had no real objective to start with.

Your right, there is not a manual for link however, there is an entire database put together by the creators with useful information. There are also videos available from those same people. There are PDF documents that contain step by step how too’s and there are also hundreds of threads pertaining to every aspect of link.

We strive to provide helpful and useful information but not everybody deserves a trophy. I can’t help you help yourself. All the hyperlinks in the last post should be enough encouragement to get you going.

As for the template, that applies to new posts made in the Tuning and engine management section. The template is available in the stickies in that sub forum. Hopefully this helps.
