I finally got AWD. NO RUST

Long story short, buddy of mine lost interest on his build and I now have his 92 laser RS. I have helped him with this car a lot.

-Mods I know of
Engine .040 over forged internals (i forget what we put in)
Balance shaft delete.
New head, valves, seals, beehive springs, exc
Some sort of 20g build by Justin number of years ago.
Rewired 190lb fuel pump (soon to go 255)
560cc inj
Link v3 lite (I will get full)
4 bolt rear
New shocks stock I think (I will go with feal coilovers)

-main problems
Coolant jacket is cracked under intake mani leaks coolant
Runs hot when 70*+ outside
Trans grinds bad
Drive shaft yokes bad
Suspension needs replaced
One bent rim

Now to my question

Where should I start? I need some inspiration

I have a bare 6 bolt with some rust on cylinder walls. I plan on using internals from old block. And only looking for little over 400WHP. I know I’m limited with the 20g but with cams and being 040 over, I may be able to hit it. Just looking for some help/inspiration as I’m excited to get this car from him.

Fix the leaks, fix the driveshaft rebuild that whole sucker it’s not to hard and you can source all the parts needed from jnz. Gets a good rim or have it fixed or take this time to upgrade. Get something that will give you more meat on the ground. Pull the trans and fix that before it’s worse and cost more. Then start basic bro make sure all the maintenance is done. Then to get the full potential of that 20g get some 1050-1200cc injectors and a walbro 255 or 400. All depends on what fuel you run. But going bigger on injectors and pump is smart. That way later on when you switch to a different turbo you already have what you need. No need to buy things twice. Sick car bro tons of potential for a great drag or autox car. Have fun and do it right!

Thanks a lot guys, yea I put a lot of wrench time in when my buddy owned it. Seemed like I worked on it more then him. Now that my 2g wire tuck is finished and running time to dive into the 1g

1000’s are on my list, same with a 255 don’t think I will need more.
