Hi,

To get an imported 2G registered in Germany I need to swap the rear lights to EU-Versions (with the orange edges). I would prefer to use US-Version harnesses as the pin-out on the white connector is different.

Couldn't find any rear-lamp-wiring harnesses in the classifieds, does anyone have them lying around or ideas on where I could get some?

It’s not the wiring harness persay you need. But the US harness needs to be modified a tiny bit to work with the EU lights.

It involves a pair of resistors and cutting a wiring. Though, I don’t remember which one. I did this mod to my car years ago. Wasn’t hard other than getting the lights imported to the US.

Look through the search on this forum. There’s a write up on what to do. You may have to outsource for the resistors depending on how your local electronics shops are. I got mine from Radio Shack here before they went out of business.

The resistors are more or less to offset the fast blink due to a difference in electrical load.
