Man, for those of us that are I to this stuff, Porsche just obliterated the Nurburgring lap record with a 5:19.6 lap time. That's insane.

I've watched the video 5 times already. I just did four laps at the ring a couple weeks ago in a fiesta ST. Absolutely incredible and terrifying. The elevation changes are insane. Corners I was struggling with at 60 MPH, Timo is doing 160 through. Absolutely insane.

The unrestricted version of the 919 is absolutely insane. I still can't believe he broke the record by almost a minute. Definitely on the bucket list to do a lap or two there... just much much slower

When I did my laps there, it was bananas awesome. DEFINITELY do at least two laps. It takes a lap to get used to the car and the setup. Gran Turismo helped me with knowing the line, but NOTHING prepares you for the elevation changes. After you do laps there, this drive from Timo is even more insane. Incredible.
