Hey...cool forum ya got here.

I have an original 1987 Dodge Colt Turbo (55,000 miles) and not sure where to start. Should I keep it and modify it or sell it? I guess I'll poke around here and see what you're doing with yours and maybe that'll give me some ideas.

I've been a Ford guy for a long time and own a 1991 Mustang GT (98,000 miles) that has been heavily modded with heads/intake/cam/exhaust.

Thanks for the invite and maybe I'll talk with some of you later.

-Sean

I had an '86 Colt Turbo. Great little car. Got 30mpg on the freeway. Maybe 25mpg mixed. Always had Valvoline 15-40 since new, and you could eat off the inside of the motor.
Had the gasket under the throttle body leak at about 100k. I think rear wheel bearings about the same time. Interior plastic panels got fragile around 15yo.
Handling (stock) wasn't bad, but it wasn't a sports car. Bit buzzy for long highway trips. Tiring as it was a bit twitchy. Not bad, just a lot different from the bigger/heavier Talon 1gen.
Wish I still had it. Traded it to my dad, and he lost it when it got impounded in MD/DE area for no registration. He was driving it instead of his new 4.0L 4x4 Ford Ranger for the mileage. (senile dementia eventually took him a year later)

I'm not enthusiastic about trying to mod the car. It's only a 1.6L (I think). It's already pushing the limits of handling. Any mods to the suspension will only degrade the ride quality. The only improvement that was made to mine was to swap power steering into it, which helps (Junkyard parts), and dealer added A/C. Don't know why it wasn't ordered from the factory that way.
I got it from a sister, who bought it from the dealer with less than 1k miles. Judging from the tire sidewalls, the original buyer scared himself, as he brought it back and traded it for a bigger car, and referred to it as a rollerskate/gocart.
