First off, hi! Been a little while since I've been here.

Secondly, I was recently given this..by a co-worker who decided to move to California and surprisingly I love it!

It's rough, but hell it was free, man.

It's a 93 Coupe, KA24DE which I liked that looks like a recent addition, and it's 5-speed. It wasn't firing on one cylinder at all, after a few seconds of diagnosing I determined it was an injector. Went to the local PAP, found some really good looking ones, dropped 'em in, and bam. Runs on all four cylinders. All 150 crank HP! Lol.

Man these cars are actually really fun to drive. And my GOD are they easy to work on! Doing the injectors was a breeze, and pulling the engine out is a cinch. It's got some more TLC needed(obviously) but I don't have any kind of crazy plans for it. Just get it mechanically sound, register it, then see where we go from there.

But yeah. How is everyone? Also, no it's not getting LS or V8 swapped at all, so GTFO. :p

My brother-inlaw races one in the hill-climbs around here, he swapped a SR motor into it and it goes like hell, very good handling car also, it is also on my "retirement hit list of cars".. Can't beat free though man it might be rough but it will be a fun daily beater until you decide to clean her up a bit..

Nice, I sold an s13 years ago that I got on trade, kinda regretted it. Tho I did drive a 93 Altima for years and that thing was bulletproof, I abused that car and it never even hiccuped.

I like the patina, make it run decent and just blast in it!

That's the plan! Haha, if there is one at least.

I'm gonna take it one step at a time, but if I get to the point where I'm like "rawr, need more power!" I'll probably SR swap it and just leave it beat up and banged up. Then again I might change my mind entirely when I get there and go full restore on it and get it completely straightened out and painted.

For now though, Function > Form. Lol. Once I get the title issue straightened out and 100% in my name, I'll probably start focusing and allocating funds to it. I'm really pretty sure I want to SR swap it though tbh. I've ridden in SR swapped 240's before and I loved it.

Free is always nice. There are tons of parts still available for them. I had a 93 clean white hatch but the frame was twisted and it wasn’t fun having to drive in 5” of snow. It was literally sliding none stop. How’s the interior, got dash crack? Aren’t there a couple of SR’s?

Ls swap or 2jz swap is the way to go me and my brother drift 240 all day long. Good quality coilover like stance or power by max would be my first mod and a welded diff would make the car fun to drive. Even with the ka motor it’s fun. Take it to the track and beat it up hard. Sr is a good motor but it’s an expensive swap with low gains. Good luck

Did you just say it's difficult to remove the fuel injectors on a 4g63?

PERMABAN

Your reading comprehension sucks. Lol. I said the injectors were super easy to remove on these cars. Nowhere did I say it was difficult on a 4G. ;) Maybe a little projection? :p

So...I sold this 240 for a steal....and I bought this instead.

A good choice!

Either your car has an aftermarket intake manifold, or you are a masochist. The damn injectors are inside the intake manifold, you have to take half of it off, which has more vacuum lines than any car has a right to have...

I am both sad, and jelly... nice score, that's looks like a pretty darn clean gsx!
Someone really wanted that 240sx, eh? :sneaky:

The drift tax is real. It can be a curse or a gift. ;) and it’s super clean.

What are you talking about, dude. Lol. This was a ka24de and the injectors has two Phillips head screws holding them in. Lmao. They pop right out.

Must be misremembering then. Last one I fixed there was definitely something bewtween the upper and lower intake manifold that was a bi***. I thought it was the fuel rail.

That's kinda a shame you sold it but hey who has the right to tell you what will make you happy. Nice score on the 2g for sure tho.
If someone's looking for a car that will go up in value s series Nissans are one of them, keep a clean one and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank.... I used to like the s chassis and be a r34 gtr fan boy, not I find I like Toyota far more.
