There is blue smoke pouring out of my exhaust, did a little research and found out that the turbo can be failing so I checked the ic pipes and I had oil in them so I assume oil is leaking into my turbo I’m just wondering what can cause that problem and what to do to fix it I was already planning on getting a new turbo but I’m not sure if it’s the actual turbo or just a cooling line also noticed my oil gauge is super low at idle not sure if that’s related to this problem or something on its own

Edit: it’s a 1996 gst

Your turbo seals are likely bad. You can get a new turbo or rebuild the one you have.

The oil gauge on the dash is largely useless in my opinion.

Thanks and I think so too but it was working completely fine until the smoke started to come out so I was jut wondering

Everything works fine until it fails- not sure what sort of confirmation you're looking for here. An engine works great until a rod exits the block. A clutch works great until the hub blows out of the disc. A transmission shifts perfect until all the teeth break off second gear. Tires hold air until you run over something. Fix the problem and move on.
