I'd like to find a couple local autox events but it all depends on these mods being done.

@We're on Boost
I was just wondering how your experience went! I am sorry to hear you ran into a similar problem but I am glad to hear you are satisfied with it overall! When I'm done with this round of mods half of the stuff that I had done there will be gone. I will be sad to see the FF stuff go but I am ready to give the car some personal TLC. If I could go back and do it again I would have made some different choices.
Gotta love some peoples kids man! I don't NEED to sell. I'm happy to entertain any offer but don't come swinging at 1/3 the price, I'm just gunna poke fun at ya!

You nailed it. Thats how I had always thought about this car. The decision to sell was a brutal one and I'm hoping this new arrangement will prove to rekindle my interest in toying with this car. With my niece here now my dad and his wife actually moved here to help. He will be helping me with the car and probably co-pilot it at events. I think at this point I just need to beat on the car and find that joy again."2016 Cummins to daily instead and will use it to tow this car"
Now this is what I wish I had. I mean, a good heavy rig to tow a car trailer. My son's Cummins Ram 2500 is a 2016 and it is fantastic, but he lives 1200 miles away now!
I don't mind having to take my car to ER for major stuff now and then. It's getting it there and back that is really painful. And I'll be doing just that in about a week.
As for keeping these DSMs going and in the right hands - I'm all for it. Once I get interested in a car like this and put a lot into it, I have no interest in just selling it off to someone with no proper appreciation for it.
The owner of this build thread is a good friend of mine. And I’m hoping to keep the car moving forward with various bolt additions as time goes on. I am super excited and motivated to make this car run at around 400hp with reliability as the most important factor.
I’ve been told that the engine internals all checked out fine, and the jacks tranny is good to go.
The tranny is a jacks 2.2 hd, I don’t think 400+hp will hurt it very muchThat sounds like a good plan, because around 400 hp is the most you can do without trashing the transmission in short order. And good transmission rebuilds are becoming almost impossible. Reliability is a great thing, if you can have it!
Sounds like rvaughn found a worthy buyer for his car. Very good!

Ah I see what you mean. Yes I’m hoping this heavily built sleeping dragon will last a long time and be a fun car for years to comeYes, that's the idea. Around 400 should be ok for quite a while.
