Just though I’d share what I have in the works. Getting close to completing the new turbo setup for 2018. Car is a Automatic street/strip grudge race car. Strictly a fun toy, will mostly see streets. No grocery get’n, but lots of local car meets and such.
HX35, 16cm^2 non gated housing, Old Punishment Racing T3 Twin scroll manifold (small runner), twin 44mm WG’s, 4” side exit exhaust. This is a Auto car
The T3 Twin-Scroll Manifold flange has been enlarged to match the foot print of T3 Open. The 16cm exhaust housing port matched as well. The idea is to find the best compromise between spool and top end flow.
This was originally planned to be a HX40 setut. Long term goal being a 9sec car, but found this brand new HX35 for a price I couldnt refuse. The HX35 should take me deep into the 10’s and that’ll be fine for now. Plus I believe it will be more fun on the street where this car will spend most of its time. Who knows maybe I’ll like it so much I keep it for long time to come. We’ll see how it performs. Note: it’ll be cool if it can stall the stock converter (mine is a bit tight), but plan to get a high stall converter anyways.
Don’t have a AWD dyno in the entire state, but I will have 1/8th & 1000ft MPH’s to report. Hope to have her running and fully tuned by the end of the month.
