A little late but here's a couple pics of the clean top (no fasteners) blanket. Just has 1 fastener on either side of the slit on the underside of the blanket. They still hold on just fine. I know someone has posted pics of the clean style installed I just can't find them at the moment. I'll post if I find.

You connect the two fasteners on bottom of the blanket on either side of the slit together with wire. That effectively "traps" the blanket on the manifold without needing other fasteners.

How in the world do you do you get underneath the manifold to get a piece of wire around those two fasteners? WTF

Obviously not very fun but somewhat easier compared to some of the other applications I deal with. Bending up the wire into a double hook, paper clip shape can make life easier to attach the anchors together. Perhaps a spring would make life better than wire in this instance?

Is this going to replace the previous version? I don't see it on your site yet.

No, it's not replacing the normal 6 fastener (3 on top, 3 on bottom) manifold blanket. It's just another option. If you're ordering and want a specific style, no top fasteners, grommets instead of anchors, etc. Just make a note in the order form and I'll build it to what you want. At the end of the day, it's you guys that will be using the blanket, so you should dictate the fastener type, not me. I just try to make changes to the blankets if there is an issue with a specific style fastener or design. I build 99% of the blankets as they are ordered so the blanket you receive was built for the order. So any small changes are simple to make. Hope everyone is having a good Memorial Day weekend.

Good stuff. I have the style with the anchors, and I love it. It works great. One of the anchors popped off during install though, leaving a small semi-frayed hole. I ran the wire through that. If i had the option of grommets I would have chosen those, and I'd recommend anyone getting this blanket to do so. And I would recommend this blanket.

Just ordered and received mine from your eBay store Levi. It's great quality but unfortunately I did not receive the wire ties in my packaging. Also it's been asked but can I place my factory heat shield over this blanket. I want my car to look original and factory.

I would like to know if you offer an O2 housing blanket. It would simply be a tube style with an opening for the oxygen sensor. I've been burning up alternators and I'm about to use a messy roll wrap

I have my whole DP wrapped and the LICP too, with a blanket and header wrapped. Gets a little warm down there. All of that does help so do what you can to keep it cool.

He does do custon ones in case you didnt know. However, that requires you to either send him your o2 housing so he can custom make you one, or take very good measurements for him. I'm gonna do this for my evo 3 o2. I called him and spoke with him which is why I know. As far as pricing goes, you can call him and ask or pm me and I can tell you around what it would be. Either way, he's VERY reasonable.

Also, don't expect him to reply LOL the man is VERY busy as of lately. He's been meaning to update his website with more content but hasn't been able to for months.

I just did this blanket with the turbine cover. Awesome results. I was using the Mishimoto radiator and slim fan/shroud combo which would keep things under control if I left the fans on full time......but on really hot days A/c was out of the question. So I swapped the passenger fan out for Mishimotos 12'' "race line" fan and did the blankets all at once. This fan RIPS. Its filthy. I was able to keep the shroud and the drivers side slim fan. Opened up the hole for the "race" fan on the drivers side a couple inches and got everything to fit with a bit of trimming. Between the fan and the blankets, temps have been sitting between 190-198 with A/C on.......something I have never been able to do in the past. Wish I had done this sooner, was really close to pulling all the A/C stuff.....glad I didnt. Blankets are great. Rather than a grommet like I had planned, I just made a small slit for my EGT probe and did the black RTV seal around it to prevent fray, which effectively holds the blanket in place, in addition to the one wire underneath behind the flange. I will grab a pic in a few min

Yeah I got mine installed. I am impressed the most by the decreased turbo lag and quicker spool. Seems radiant heat velocity really is another power to tap. I'm using an eBay lava turbo blanket on the turbo and o2 housing

Not impressed with the ties. I feel they should be on the side of the blanket to pull across to make the fabric tight across the top. It feels like my 2g manifold is slightly small

I'm not impressed with the tie down system either, my middle manifold bottom already ripped out and my turbine housing has a clip pulled out as well. Barely a few months old and only taken off once due to a motor swap. They do make a difference though
