That's good to hear. What I'd suggest is posting some installation articles, or chiming in with some useful advice in other discussions - don't spread any misinformation obviously, but point people toward where the answers to their question might be. I find myself doing searches and posting links to threads quite a bit in my replies. Another good trick would be to post updates in your build thread for your DSM Profile - that didn't used to count toward your post count but it does now.

That's good to know. I don't want to spread misinformation but I did pick up a service manual/electrics combo that I could contribute with. I've got plenty of updates for my tsi.

Lol ... I found the same thing. I was a long-time Talk member who recently made the jump over here, but these cars have been around so long and are so well documented at this point there's not much new to say. I just try to hep people with questions if I know the answer. They'll add up, don't worry, it didn't take me too long.

I've been probationary for over a year now, I believe. Partially because I started a new job and stopped really having time to work on my car and partially because for a long time I felt afraid to add my two cents. I recently found myself diving back into the car and spending more time on the forums and have sort-of broken out of my shell. I try to stay away from topics I'm not too familiar with and only speak up when I know what I'm talking about or its an opinion question I'm replying to. If you just browse and converse and don't worry about your post count it will happen on its own eventually.

Being that you have done a bit of research just keep your eye on the newbie and intro welcome section. Things I now consider common sense certainly was not so when I broke the first bolt loose. There's always people brand new to forced induction asking questions. It also feels good helping others at least to me. keep at it!

What I find frustrating (not DSMTuners fault) is finding awesome write-ups and Photobucket links are b0rked.

I'm on another message board, and someone on there found a solution to that. I think it's a plug-in or something you can add on and it fixes the links. I haven't worried about it too much personally b/c I don't have photos housed there, but I know someone figured something out. I think it's up to the photo-owner to install the work around so the pics show up again. Maybe someone else can chime in on this.

Ludachris tried to salvage links to photobucket but it was them that goofed everything up. When this website was updated a few months back it was a big issue because to many people had dumped their stuff into photobucket and didn't have the pictures or articles here on this site, they would link to those things and photobucket changed some things that won't allow us to pull up there stuff now. If there is a work around, please post it up.
Thanks!

@Ludachris, do you have any info on the photobucket delima?
