Has anyone else had problems with their Tial Q BOV or MVS wastegate leaking during a boost leak test? These are my only boost leaks. The bov is leaking where the top and bottom sections connect and where it vents air. The wastegate is leaking at the plugs.

Are theu fairly new? When u day plugs do you mean water cooling plugs? I didn't think they would even run into the actual chamber with the diaphragm and stuff. Either way I'm shocked. I've seen quite a few tials that had sticky valves but never a torn diaphram on a new style v band wastegate.. They seem to last a really long time. Are you sure they are authentic?

They have maybe 2 oil changes on them. They're not old in terms of use. They may have been purchased a year or so ago. The bov came from extremepsi and the MVS wastegate from punishment so I hope they're authentic. The bov has the a good o ring on the flange and it didn't look like there were any issues with the diaphram. Should I be using any Rtv on the wastegate fittings? I went with Tial to avoid leaks I don't know if I'm doing something wrong here.

U can use rtv on the fittings. What plug are you talking about on the waste gate?

All of them. The plugs for the water ports and the plug where the vacuum line goes in. They all bubble with soapy water during a blt. The bov is very bad. They start leaking at about 5psi or less. What color Rtv should I use? I wasnt sure if anything could handle the heat.

Ever find out what was going on with the BOV? I found mine to be leaking in the same area while performing a boost leak test. The area where the top and bottom portions come together. I tried messaging TiAL, but haven't got a response just yet.

I don’t know exactly what it was but I got a hold of tial and they repaired it for free. I just had to pay shipping.
