Hi all!!! My name is Sadie, I am not entirely a newbie but new to doing the projects myself. I am tired of spending $300 every time something needs fixed. I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse gst. I have already had to have a new transmission, new engine, 16g turbo, cat delete, probably other things too that I can't name off the top of my head. I have a love hate relationship with my car but... I need help.
So my husband took my car to work one day (about a 20 minute drive) made it to work just fine but on the way home it overheated. Had to have my mechanic tow it (the radiator cap was basically glued to the fitting) and found out that my water outlet hose fitting is so pitted that it won't hold any pressure. Since I decided I needed to know how to do a coolant flush on my car anyways I thought I would do this project myself. I have the replacement fitting but it seems that I am in need of an o ring and gasket? Not sure what though. So if anyone has done this and can give me some advice that would be greatly appreciated.
