My name is Drew. I have a green 97 gst spyder in mint condition and for it, I currently have a dsm professional building me a 2.4 4G64 bottom and 4G63 head motor build. I hope one day to find a donor gsx to perform an awd conversion. Also today I just purchased a rare 1998 Red GSX all original mint condition Eclipse! Its the red one in my profile pic. Not sure whether I am going to keep it stock for future sale or begin a build.
 
I just ran into a guy on i10 and rte 347 that had a red 2g spyder. It was the all original, garage kept its whole life, moms grocery getter story. Beautiful car, mint i think it had 40k on it. The guy said he would sell it for the right price. I wonder if thats the one you bought. I never saw him again. This was like 2 months ago.

Can't be, the one in his profile picture isn't a Spyder. :)

My spyder convertible is green and the GSX awd I just purchased today is a red hard top with sun roof. That red spyder you mentioned wasn't the one I purchased but it sounds super clean and would be a great buy.
 
waking up the dead here.. Well Im not new to AZ or DSM and want to say hello to the AZ Community. I am a proud owner of a 97 GS-T that I have owned since 2005. in those years nothing has been done other than a couple bolt-ons. After 4 yrs of just staring at it in my garage i have decided it time to get back at it. I have purchased a bare 6 bolt block and look forward to the late night struggles and many hours searching for parts that are discontinued...my plan is to keep it simple yet make decent power. i look forward to meeting you all.

Welcome! There is also an amazing DSM builder in AZ if you ever need help or want top notch work done on your motor. I had a whole new motor built and installed in my GST Spyder last year by Brandon Hole Shot Performance.

I saw on another (really old) thread that Hole Shot and UMS are the two places to go for work. It looked like Hole Shot hasn't updated their FB page in a couple years... Are they still actively working? If so, what is the best way to contact Brandon. TIA
 
Hi there...I used to hang around the Phoenix area DSM crowd from 2006-2011 or so. Life got in the way and I parked my 1g GSX but never sold it. Currently fixing it up and getting back into it. I live in Yuma now but I visit Mesa once in a while.

Looks like this thread hasn't been active for a while but figured I'd come say hello anyway. Hope to see you guys around! :hellyeah:
 
Welcome back man.. there’s quite a few rolling around basically everyone on the FB pages...to bad those aren’t archived. But every so often there’s a new that tries to get started I’d say for local stuff hit up fb pages dsm Arizona as well as others

I’m Brandon, this is my 1990 eclipse GSX, I’ve owned it 2 years now and I’ve been working and maintaining it since I got it and I’m very happy with it. I daily drive it aswell, I’m on instagram a lot @issa_dsm but I creep on here All the time

Hello, I’m Robert. My wife’s first car was a 98 GST that got totalled while she sat at a red light many years ago. She loved that car. This last weekend I bought her a 95 GSX because she said one day she WILL have another. Now it’s here in the garage, already modified (of course) but we have no real idea of how deep the previous owner went. My butt dyno thinks it’s running 250-280hp currently, but we are looking to have someone with intimate knowledge of these look it over so we can know what we are starting with and formulate a build plan from there. I’ve seen the name Brandon and Hole Shot Performance around quite a bit, does anyone know if he is still in the Phoenix area? I look forward to meeting a bunch of you fellow DSM lovers now that The Wife has brought me into the fold!
 
Also we are in Surprise, I forgot to mention; though I don’t care where in the valley good help is, our location is just FYI LOL
