So, incident happened recently, resulting in my exhaust system from the down pipe back being ripped off. Insurance might be paying for it (insurance adjuster hasnt returned my calls yet but i have an entire case and multiple witnesses so even if they dont i can sue) and i cant locate another Apexi N1 (the one i that got ripped off) so im in the market for a replacement. What's your favorite? best exhuast notes, looks, etc. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

When I had the GS-T back in the days, the RRE downpipe with the Thermal cat back sounds pretty darn good. Throaty and not too loud.

Buschur has always been on of the best sounding in my opinion.

Unfortunately the magnaflow muffler/buschur catback hasn't been a thing for a long long time now.

I like the Apexi N1..... but if insurance is paying..... go for the STM exhaust, lightweight, and looks and sounds great

I have a Greddy Evo2 on my GST and LOVE the sound of that ... but they're hard to find as they haven't been available for a long time.

Not sure who all is making them anymore either. Extreme PSI is only showing 5 companies making exhaust systems.

I know it isn't. You didn't specify it had to be new LOL. I guess I should have assumed though

I like my apexi.

I liked my tanabe racing medallion as well.

And my thermal R&D.

HKS Sounds pretty good too.

Really you can't go wrong with 3" pipe and a straight through muffler, unless you like to talk your passengers at freeway speed. Or you like your neighbors. I don't like my neighbors so I like to idle my car for a couple hours at 2-4 in the morning when I am off work in the middle of the week and they have to get to do the school run at 7...

Apexi n1 is steel so will rust, the GT is 400 stainless so will surface rust LOL,

The R&D is nice sounding but boy its big and heavy,

The best i heard was the tanabe one, apart from my own of course if i was to buy a system the tanabe would be the one

My gst had full apexi n1 with theyre high flow cat was decent at a idle but heard me coming down the block and setting off car alarms in parking garages my gsx has thermal r&d no cat (thank you jersey for no more inspections on 95 and older vehicals now:sneaky:) and I piss the wrx kid down the street off something serious when I pass him nowadays I vote thermal is my favorite still decent at idle but has deeper tone and growl in wot compared to apexi:D

Megan. Because I'm cheap as hell. I did have to make a custom test pipe because the downpipe flange wouldn't line up with the Megan catback. It is fairly loud though.

I actually run an aftermarket downpipe, with a 3" "srs" exhaust I got from amazon for 160 shipped... made some custom cuts and such and got rid of the fart can on the back, switched it out for a v6 honda accord resonator and just welded a chrome tip on the end of it.

(I work at a salvage yard.. I've discovered that v6 honda accord resonators are basically stainless cherry bombs that open up to 3")

I have a hacked Thermal R&D mated to my own made downpipe. It is definitely big and heavy, but even wide open flying down the front straight at NJMP is pretty quiet.
