Unfortunately, I've failed to keep up with this xD so I guess now is better than never. Swapped the white rear bumper with the black one today. Next project is to plastidip the twistys black and maybe it'll look overall better than it does now. Just the bumper change made a drastic difference though. Eventually it will get a decent paint job that it deserves but money is needed elsewhere for the time being.

repainted the valve cover/spark plug cover and strut bars (front and rear) to fit MitsuTalon's new color scheme. Ordered some new lug nuts, 225/50r16s, lowering springs and spacers. Yeah, I know could've saved for some coilovers but in all honesty...I can't justify the money for them right now. Maybe later in the future when the car gets a badass professional paint job and the wheels get powder coated it can have some fancier more expensive parts. I may or may not have different plans later on but for now it'll work for me. Husband helped me out and PlastiDipped my twisties so the car is no longer five different colors. We're going to pull the black doors off the Talon next (driver door rod is bent in the current car) so that'll be less body to PlastiDip black. Still looks better than it did before.

new vs old...bit of a difference there...not to mention the old ones are seized. Nothing worked to break them free. Oh well.

Don't worry, she knows what she's doing xD
More pics to come. Need to lower the rear some more and MIGHT lower the front another half inch. Have other problems with MitsuTalon to look into/fix as well....always something right? LOL

Ooookay...so. I've done a lot to the car and had posted updates to IG and forgot all about this build thread..LOL. No longer have IG so I lost some of the things I've done like blowing out my turbo gasket LOL. ugh...damn these money pits LOL. Recently, been doing some free mods and getting this baby ready for a "driveway" paint/plastidip. Later on down the road, she'll get a decent legit paint job but hopefully by then I'll be financially ready. Not sure if that was worded right...anyways. I don't get a lot of time to work on MitsuTalon but the couple hours I do, it's that much closer. Still unsure what my goals are for the car so most things are looks and maintenance. Can't go wrong there, eh?

So before I got the CXRacing coilovers, these next few things took place. Husband painted my stock wheels gloss black. I did prep work. I trust his rattle can skills better.

Don't mind the rusty ass brakes..I painted the outer rim black so you can't see it when it's on ;) 25mm spacers for the win.

This was with cheap ebay sleeves. Ride height and EVERY tire was different. Luckily got a refund and went ahead and ordered them coilovers. Also had these spiky lug nuts :p

Now to the more recent. Decided one day (and after installing my coilovers) that the spiky lug nuts are sketchy as all hell to use because of the tapered end :( I'd rather not lose a wheel...or worse. So, got some rattle can red and then added some black plasidip for the black and red theme I'm trying to spritz in my car.

Sorry about the dirt and salt...LOL each lug nut is different.

Tapered lugs without the spikes. Either way looked badass IMO but better safe than sorry

After coilovers broke in some had to lower the rear more. Also current ride height. Debating if I should drop both front and rear another half inch.....

Now last week I swapped the driver door out because the rod is bent so if my door handle doesn't break it still won't open. I didn't get any pics of that but have one with what I did today.

Yup....Decided the car needed a change and could also make the paint job easier also. Took my hatch off....(I wish I had the color code for this custom paint...:()

And threw my old black talon one on. See where I'm going with this?

Cargo cover is great to hold tools LOL

Uh huh. Threw that 2ga talon low rise back on there. I'm super excited to see what it looks like when it's painted. Just waiting on a warm few days to do so. I loved wingless but also thought it needed a little something else. I'd love to throw a duckbill on there but can't find one anywhere. While I love the eclipse's high rise, I didn't feel it fit me plus everyone's got em. Talon high rise I'm personally not a fan of and same for the eclipse low rise. Next on the list is little stuff like re torquing bolts, replacing a recent hatch strut blowout....it's always something with these cars LOL. To go lower or not to...............................................................................................
