Awesome info. Is that bypass hole in the FIAV/ISC situation under the throttle body? And we spend time warming the car up in the paddock and in the false grid. So it should warm up no problem
No thats the housing that bolts to the head! Thats the thermostat you see in that hole. Nothing to do with the TB at all
 
Ok. That must be a 7 bolt setup cause the 6 bolt is only three holes to bolt the housing to the head.
Im just showing you the port that needs plugged, reguardless of 6/7 bolt or any other car, its the port specifically you need to sort out
 
Also, got some good work done today. Motors pretty much put back together. Just some stuff I gotta do, like bolts to block off the squirters, oil pickup tube. Then rear main seal, oil pan, flywheel, clutch....then in the car it goes!

Gotcha. Just didn't look familiar is all. Great info.
Basically on any car the hole where the rear small section of the thermostat covers is the hole that needs to be plugged. This pic is from an evo 3 housing,
 
Good day today! Wasn't expecting to get any work done on the car today but some plans fell through and a buddy came to lend a hand and we got the motor in. Only two mounts at the moment, but at least it's in. Felt good to get it in ahead of schedule.

Alright. Turbo is in officially. Hoping these stage 8 locking nuts save me from further aggravation of losing the turbo. Also got the manual brakes pretty much plumbed and finished. Transfer case is in. Front suspension is tight. 3 weeks out from Lime Rock. Gonna be tight.
 
So of course, I don't have enough on my plate, the rearend in my truck started making noise yesterday. So now, tomorrow, I have to not only work on the car, but I have to pull the cover on the rear diff. Good times.
 
Sooooooooo gonna be really tough to make Lime Rock now. The rear in the Tahoe is caputzki. The carrier actually broke. And then once we got the car running it was making some horrendous noise out of the bell housing area. Gotta drop the trans and see what's going on in there. Good times.

A little update. Not on the car unfortunately, but I got all the stuff to rebuild the rear in the truck. We're getting pummeled with snow at the moment, so hopefully by the weekend we can get some work done.
 
Got the motor running. Unfortunately, the ECU lost the tune and all the base settings. So we had to start from scratch. Luckily, my buddy found a tune in my hard drive. Gonna upload that into the car, a couple other things gotta get done today. Rebuilt the rear in the truck. The backlash is too tight, so I'm pulling it apart again today and redoing it.
 
Yesterday was a hectic day. Went over everything. Bled the brakes. Got it to the alignment shop. The rear end is acting really weird. Theres almost no differential action. It's just chirping and hopping the inside wheel when making tight turns. On the plus side, truck did great pulling the car. We figured out the issues with the trailer lights, so that's a good thing. No turning back now though. Going to the track Saturday. Hope I can figure out this rearend issue by then. If that's normal operation, I can't see how it was sold to the public.
