Hi all! Bear with me, this might be a long post because I want to be very thorough about all the information I'm providing.
It's been several years since I've posted/lurked around on the forums. I bought this car pretty close to stock back in 2010 while I was working as a mechanic/technician with the intent of turning it into a track car for the weekends. I stripped out the car and rebuilt the entire thing (at least the engine bay) from the ground up so I could make sure I had a solid foundation to continue down an upgrade path that I had in mind. This took me about a year and a half and by the end of it, I decided to go back to school full-time. This effectively took me out of the game. I kept telling myself that I would track it once I graduate and have more free time, but I've lost some of my passion for the car and have next to no free time as my current role requires me to work close to 11hr days. Personal stuff aside, I wanted to list out the background/motivation for me selling the car. Put it simply, I don't have the time to do the car justice. I want the car to go to someone who will enjoy it for what it is! Here is a list of things that have been done to the car:
Engine:
Full Manley internals, (forged pistons, H-beam rods, valves, valve springs and Ti retainers)
Kelford 272's w/ HKS adjustable cam gears
Gates racing T-belt
AC delete
14b turbo
Fuel:
Stock fuel system
Aeromotive A1000 FPR with liquid gauge
Ign:
Stock for the most part
Exhaust:
Stock post turbo, FP racing manifold
Intake:
Stock manifold, tubing and intercooler
Cooling:
Mishimoto aluminum radiator, 12" fans (generic)
Drivetrain:
ACT 2100 Clutch and HD Pressure Plate
Jacks Racing Transmission (Economy 1.1 build w/ 4 spider)
Bearing shift bearing mod
Electronics:
ECMLink V3
Innovate Motorsports Wideband + Gauge
Prosport boost and oil pressure gauge
Battery relocated to passenger rear in trunk with aluminum battery box
THE CONS (depending on how you see it):
-THE CAR WILL NOT PASS SMOG AS IS (EMISSIONS REMOVED)
-YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE BACK HOME, IT IS NON-OP
-The car has been registered as non-op since 2011 I believe
-Exterior paint is pretty rough, clear coat is peeling
-One of the corners has a broken wheel stud
-Missing passenger side A pillar trim
-Clutch has to be bled, same with brakes
-Interior is a bit in shambles since I was in the middle of an alarm install
THIS CAR IS FOR YOU IF YOU ARE:
-Looking to use it as a track car
-Familiar with the 1g platform
-Appreciate the amount of $$$ and cool parts that was put into the car
-HAVE MEANS OF TOWING THE CAR
THIS CAR IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
-You are looking to DD it (unless you are prepared to source some stock parts, or sketchy smog)
-Aren't very mechanically inclined
-Are going to lowball me
I am asking what I think is a fair price, obviously this price may not work for everyone. In which case, please shoot me a PM and we may work something out. NOT LOOKING FOR VEHICLE TRADES!!
