Hello to anyone that can help. recently bought a weapon r intake for 97 talon tsi and it does not have the ports for oem sensors, egr valve map, booster hose nipple etc. just a couple threaded holes in the back. i figured out they sell an adapter for the map sensor. Does anybody know if the block off plate will work?? and where would i put it on the egr itself?? or how can i remove it.Its a 500$ intake.if anynody knows anything id appreciate the help. Thank you

You have to delete your emissions crap to use this. I assume there isn't a provision for the egr. The MDP (map) sensor isn't necessary without egr. You can get the adaptor to prevent a CEL but you don't need it. On a 2g you can usually leave the emissions sensors plugged in on the firewall to prevent CELs

In theory, yeah, you can delete the emissions stuff. Using DSMLink to kill off the CELs make it cake.

I’m intending on running a line from my intake manifold to a vacuum distribution block. As for the MDP sensor, I’m using a factory-style Omni so, I’ll be using an adapter (can’t remember who’s) with it as well.

thanks for the response. what do you mean by delete like physically remove everything? can you please specify what can and cant be deleted. i do have dsm link so im willing to do what has to be done. thank you

thanks for the response. im kinda new to dsms.bought the car a few months ago. recently got dsm link and starting to do some upgrades. can i really get rid of the CEL with dsmlink? and is that something that i would be able to do myself or will i have to take it to a experienced tuner? im in NJ so i gotta pass emissions. thank you

I'm not familiar with NJs emissions testing but in PA as long as it clears through the ODB it's good to go. No physical examination. I don't have link; the only cel i get is for egr flow restricted. I have a 96 Tsi which is exempt from emissions testing (ironically 96 eclipse is not) so I just clear my CEL beforehand.
Otherwise you can get rid of CELs using link. Extreme psi has an MDP/map sensor adaptor for $19 but everything I've read claims I don't need it without my egr.

That link will get you pointed in seeing what can be deleted.

As for the CELs. There’s a bunch that you can tell the computer to ignore. Mine, currently, is set to ignore the EVAP code it likes to pop out. You should be able to do it yourself. If I remember right, it’s under DTCs in the program.
cool. what about the holes in the back of the new
