Welcome to the side, my friend has a blue one starion just like, with a 2jz in it were here to help, ask away, Props to our helpers, marty has been a great help and contributor to the side as a lot of us.

I love the cars. I joined this month after being a V8 fanboy for years and years as well as an import lover, but not participater. Hopefully these forums will be of good use for me as i am currently looking for my first DSM, and im being utterly picky with what i want, as i feel I should be. Love the info!

Good to see you joined. When I was fresh and green behind the ears to dsm’s(2006) and on dsmtalk. I remember you helping me out a few times. Probably don’t remember me as I never posted much, but spent a lot of time reading everyone else’s threads and post. My dsmtalk username was just my name LOL: ryan_bessey.

Welcome to tuners!

Welcome to tuners!

Well, I'm glad I was a help! That's better than the opposite.

All the years I spent on Talk, I never really met too many people b/c most were not local to me. I've met a few local people here and there over the years at shows and meets, but unfortunately most the DSMers I know or knew from years ago have moved onto either the EVO or STi platform. I'm the only nerd still driving around in my original car - and I'm OK with that. :thumb:

Interesting to hear there was an anniversary edition on a lot more than a year after it was built. I ran a lot of VINs for anniversary editions and came to the conclusion they were all built in May '99 -- between the 1st and about the 20th if I remember right. Unless there was a big delay getting to dealerships. I figured they would've gotten scooped up faster. They look great and are really reliable and cheap to run. I love 'em.

I liked my Ann. Ed. a lot, but the pain of it was everyone always thought it was a GST or GSX b/c that's what Mitsu built them to look like. People always wanted to "race" ... LOL. I was always like, no, this car is slow. It was fun while I had it, but I don't miss it much. I'd buy another as a daily, but not to mod in any way. ... I wonder if I dug up my old VIN number whether I could find that car???

I have one and I definitely know the feeling. After reading 2gnt for more than two minutes I, like you, have of course decided it's definitely not worth modding. I wonder how many of these are left... hopefully yours still is.
