Hey everyone,
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this please move if not. Due to firewall limiting space, I have relocated the 1g CAS to the front of the engine and everything is good (running 12-1 trigger disc to allow for reverse rotation). The only thing that I am having trouble with is the coupler to mate the cas drive/shaft to the cam gear or bolt. There have been a few people that have don't this on their RWD Sigmas and Galants. I have seen a few done online but no real answer as to how they have the CAS driven. my immediate thought was a "spider coupler" but the rubber absorber may cause ignition timing issues.
any other options would be great as I'm running out of ideas
any and all help is appreciated
Thank you
-the set up I'm envisioning would resemble the Magnus mechanical fuel pump design

I don't really have much feedback specific to your question. Something you might want to look into though is adopting a 95-96 CAS. The 95-96 has the CAS behind the intake cam gear. Isn't the trigger mounted on the crank? I've only seen trigger disc for 2G's which don't have the crank cam sensor in one package.

the head is a 98 2g, no sensor behind the cam gear and it's mated to a 1g 6 bolt block that has no crank trigger disc.
the trigger wheel/ disc I have 12-1 is inside of my 1g cas. the only issue I am having is getting the cam to physically move the cas as I don't know what to do as far as a coupler goes

You can use the 95-96 cas setup which puts the cas under the intake cam, you need the pickup and the reluctor from the 95 intake cam cog.

secondary question: I have an evo 8 black box ecu that I would like to use, will the kiggly crank trigger and 2g cam gear set up work?

You will need to remove 1 of the 2 teeth.
please elaborate
