Looking to see where i can buy the ecu side(male) connectorsfor a custom syand alone adapter. To clairify, not looking for the harness side connectors, the actual connectors soldered to the ecu board.

You might consider searching for a damaged ecu, and de-soldering the connectors.

There are sources for the plugs (resources linked here through this site), but the receiving sockets might be another story.

Yeah i thought about that, figured it was worth a try to find the sockets first before venturing into ecus. A damaged ecu might be as cheap as the connectors too, how much could one be LOL.

You can buy the ECU side connector brand new, no need to hack one out of a 20 year old ECU. If you are planning to make an adapter harness you've already got a lot of soldering to do, no need to double the workload :)

AFAIK, there is not a wire to wire version of this connector, so soldering onto the PCB mount one is the way to go.

Looks like that is only the housing without any of the pins, that would be good if i can find the crimp pins that fit in it. I only need to use a dozen or so positions so that might be an option, thanks.

It is a PCB mount connector, the "pins" are molded into it. There is no crimping. You have to solder wire onto the end of the pin.

As I stated above, there is no "wire to wire" type connector for this housing that I have seen. "wire to wire" is the type with removable "pins" that you crimp onto wire.
