Is anyone still making bellhousing adapter plates? Im looking into doing a rwd setup in a different platform and would like to use the 4g63. Just need to know if i can still get an adapter plate and if so from who? I need to find out so i can see if i can go with my plan or if i need to scrap it and just go v8. Thanks guys

Bill Hincher is the man to go to for these. Im in the middle of a rwd project as well. Question he will have for you is what trans specifcally are you trying to use? He has many different bellhousing adaptors to mate to the 4g wide block.

Ill have to get in touch with him. Id like to use a mopar tranny if i could. Not sure if its ever been done or not. Are these pieces very expensive?

Gotta remember, 90% of bills stuff is custom, and is ultra high quality. It's spendy, but totally worth it if you choose to go that route.

I get you're a mopar guy, but if you want a 3 speed trans, id suggest a th350 or 400. I'm no Chevy plug man, but bill has stuff for these transmissions readily available, and they're much easier to come by/get parts for. Sometimes you can't argue with parts availability and low cost .

Don't get me wrong, the 727 was great in it's day, but go with a gm trans now.

Main reason for going with a 727 is because once im either done with or blow up the 4g63, im putting in a v8. I dont want to say what im working with but its an older mopar. Im not even sure when im going to get started on it but like to know where parts are and who to get intouch with. I dont really want to have to buy 2 transmission and have to switch. I know i could have the 4g in for years of fun but im doing it to be different and show some friends that a 4 banger can run. Then i want to turbo v8 and have best of both worlds

I would way rather go with a 6l80E trans. minimum 4l80e
