hey just picked up another 98 gst for a great price. removed motor to go forged internals, replace clutch, a few seals on TB due to boost leaks, clean engine bay etc....just alot of little stuff that would be easier to fix with motor out....it had the notorius power steering leak along with a cracked valve cover located on drivers side, so with the leaks over a long period of time a few bushings swole up got soft and now need replaced. I've had to replace almost every bushing on the drivers side, therefore all have been replaced in passenger side as well, there is one i can't find and I'm sure that they don't need replaced very often and I can't seem to find it at local part store. did a Google seach and still nobody seems to know. I believe it's an engine cradle bushing but still have no part number, so if someone can identify and maybe give me a part number or where I can find it that'd be awesome!!! I took the pic on the passenger side cause it dosnt exsist on the drivers side anymore...thanks in advanced!!

Sweet thank you!! but still having no luck finding anything OE or after market/ poly. found a set on ebay for the rear and a huge kit for entire car which i don't need for 200. looks like it my be difficult to get in there. any experience with these and do you know where i may find a front set?

I don't know what your budget is but I would look into aluminum subframe bushings. I Found them easy to install but that's because I had all the tools to do the job.

This is almost exactly what I was going to say. If youre in there to do the work, do the work once and be done with it. You wont regret an upgrade to aluminum subframe bushings.

The one you are after: MB870742

The other front subframe bushings: MB871921 and MR244103

I have not done these on a 2G. On a 1G, it is pretty well required to drop the subframe and anything in the way or attached to replace the bushings.

Sweet! thank you very much. ya subframe is covered in oil and very dirty may just drop it altogether anyways to get it cleaned up.

ya i found one kit (ebay) for 170.00 which isn't to bad I guess (unknown brand)..tools shouldn't be an issue either unless it requires a "special" tool?
