2G IHI RHC6 / Borg Warner GM Turbo info?

This turbo I have has come up for me again and was just wondering how to tell what kind of power it has potential for. I was reading this: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/bw-gm-8-turbo-6-5-chevy.333520/

So once I measure things, then what?

Here's the turbo: Based on 1 set of numbers, it's a Borgwarner/IHI, 51T-32 Turbo, but also seen it listed as a GM5. Are those the same thing?

Reclocking it is the right term, which I did a long time ago. These pictures are old. It's been clocked tbt proper way for a dsm, and I cut and rewelded the o2 housing portion. And I got on that site this morning actually. But numbers are just numbers until they're verified. That's why I want to measure and check it out.
 
Even if it was free I would not run it.

Too many unknown variables. It may be in need of a rebuild, then what.

The savings in comparison to other aspects of value in the build to support that turbo would be negative in relation to the value of the turbo.

So if you're going to spend another $700 on the fuel system, another $400 upgrading the cooling system to run slim fans, and another $400 for the intercooler setup. You've got $1500 In parts to support a turbo in unknown condition that no one seems to use. What another $400 in tuning and not even factoring in supporting wideband sensors and custom exhaust setup and the Watergate.

A build has many aspects to it. The turbo may seem like the largest cost of the build but it is also what the entire motor revolves around to make power. It should be the most expensive piece in your turbo upgrade build
 
The ol' IHI RHC6...these turbos are nothing special- roughly the airflow potential of a 20G but requires a T3 manifold, custom oil lines, and a custom o2 housing to be fabricated. If you didn't pay one red cent for the turbo and happen to be handy with welding and fabricating it may be a fun task...but if you're paying for the turbo along with someone to do the work there are already turbos in it's airflow range that bolt directly in place of our stock units, and if you're buying a manifold and custom o2 housing specifically for a turbo that was never meant to go on a DSM you may as well choose a turbo with much greater potential and not have to worry about upgrading again later.
 
I bought it for $50 from the salvage yard several years ago not knowing what model it was. No shaft play in any direction and the turbine spun smooth. So I toom a chance. Already had a free T3 dsm turbo manifold too.
