Hello all!

Names Alex, and I've been out of the game for awhile but very excited to be back. As of yesterday I purchased a 1995 Eagle Talon TSi FWD. Its an auto but very excited nonetheless! The body has 85k and the previous owner did a basic rebuild on the engine.(Scary I know)

She needs some work but for the price and condition of Interior/Exterior I couldn't pass it up.

Plans are really keeping her relatively stock. Intake, exhaust, fmic, better tuning, Wheel/brakes, lower and possibly 2gb body conversion if at all possible to find these days. I know it sounds crazy but I kind of want to daily her :hellyeah:

Yep. Auto's are ok, I think, for the majority of drivers. I know they can be built to be fun, and I've even thought about putting in a 3G shifter with a shift box to have the clutchless manual for fun, and auto for casual driving. But in the end, it's not what I prefer. Just can't say no to a real manual. :D I might have the opportunity in the near future to actually convert mine to manual. So if that goes well, I'll have it back sooner than anticipated.
 
I've done a few thing to the Talon since purchasing her. Shes now running on brand new matching tires. I also decided to plasti dip my spoiler because it was faded pretty bad.

Also figured out why my windshield wipers weren't working

Replaced with a brand new motor.

Just a cheap boost gauge nothing fancy.

Soon it'll be time for tint.
 
Welcome. You wil enjoy a fwd auto more than an awd in terms of responsiveness. And i DD'd my talons up until about a year ago and i wouldnt hesitate to keep dailying them. I'm just worried about other drivers destroying all my hard work and the rarity of these cars, esp talons. 2ga talons (with different wheels) are by far may favorite DSM style. Subtle and timeless. Did the PO put a 14b in or are you still living in 1g land?
 
Luckily the previous owner slapped a 14b on it before I purchased it. Only bad thing is he has it venting to atmosphere and the Knock off BOV thats currently installed is to tight causing compressor surge. I currently stay out of boost as much as possible so I haven't really been able to feel its true power WOT.

She needs to pass inspection and be registered though before I can drive her more. With me being in Texas I have to pass inspection before I can register it so she's currently a sitting duck while I knitpick at her LOL. She had a EGR Flow malfunction CEL about a week ago till I soaked the EGR in some brake parts cleaner. No check engine light so far! Only 20 more shady miles unregistered before I am eligible to take it to inspection :talon:
 
So clean. I'm on number 4. I've just Owens talons. I'm a dsm fan for life. I'll be watching this one.
