alrighty guys, I'm trying to set the timing on my 2g and am running into a bit of a snag. The previous owner stuck these aftermarket cam gears on and they dont have the timing marks on them like the stock ones would which means im not sure how to set the timing. is there anyway i can tell by looking at the cams(valve cover is off)

If you cant see the pins on the cams then take them off make sure they are pointing up, take the spark plug out in cyl #1 and put a screw driver down to check to see if it's at tdc.

Pictures. pictures. pictures. there was a guy asking a similar question just a few weeks ago that had them lined up completely wrong. Pictures worth a thousand words, or in this case possibly your engine.
