Whats up yall. I have a 1990 eagle talon.
Long story short.
Built 6 bolt
E85
Fic1050 cc
Ecm link v3
Speed density
Car sat for 2 years. I added 2 gallons of e85.

Wont start unless i cover up the compressor housing inlet. Kinda like its on a maf and covering up a huge unmetered air leak.

Tune? Bad omni 4 bar?

Boost lead tested?
Speed density won't care but it is harder to run but will still get you home, that's why I like SD.
Look at the SD table for the idle area and see if any thing looks out of place. I would think it would be looking in a box that has between 30 and 50 in it for idle start up, just guessing, but I have been doing a lot of playing with mine lately as I changed to 2150's and I am having success just playing.

Post a log of it starting up. It is impossible to tell from the information given.

I dont think there is a boost leak at fault. Its speed density. But you never know i guess.

It struggles to start up and then you block off the inlet to the turbo it starts and will stay running after removing block from turbo.

I have a laptop and ecm link and cable ill have to go in and look. Its alot different then ecuflash LOL. I have a evo 8 also i tuned on speed density.

Any other suggestions?

Most of us have been in the same spot. If you get into Link, and open a log or start a log, then go to the bottom of the screen and click on ECU config (log) box. When it opens you will have tabs on the left, open up the Speed Density VE table. When it opens, look at the top right and click on Track Data Log and it will show which box it is reading from.
A log will allow everyone to take a gander and chime in so if you can post any type of log, it is what is best.

Yay. Glad its goin and YOU fixed it. :thumb:

Great news! Happy u got it resolved. I had this issue a whiiiiiiile ago when I first got my dsm. Car wouldn't stay running unless I put my hand over the airflow sensor to cover it. Everything stick. Had to put in a sock to get it semi running.

Issue for me ended up being a bad ecu with capacitor leakage.
