Will Megan or Punishment racing downpipe fit FP 2.5" or 3" O2 housing?

Thread title speaks for itself. I recently developed an exhaust leak at the flange of my Buschur Racing 3" downpipe. Buschur said they don't use a gasket on those (even though it looks like I have one squishing out where the leak is) so they only resurface them. I figured it may be more cost effective to just buy a new DP rather than ship mine to Ohio, pay for resurfacing, then pay to ship it back. So does anyone have experience using either of these DP's with an FP O2 housing? I don't know if I have the 2.5" housing or the 3. I'm running an FP30 turbo. Thank you for any help.

First, un-bolt the down pipe and clean the mating surfaces with sandpaper. Buy a 2 bolt, 3" exhaust gasket for $4 at your local parts store. Don't get a stainless plate type gasket. Get one that actually crushes a bit. Slather both mating surfaces with high temp rtv. Install the gasket, get the bolts tight as frig, then send it.

Or just take it off and a) manually resurface it with a file or b) take it to a machine shop and they'll do it for cheap. There is no reason to send it to Buschur.

Awesome. Thank you. Does this happen a lot? Also, my accessory belt for my p/s pump, alternator, and water pump was just replaced and I searched how to put tension on it but I just can't seem to get enough. It's very noisy on start up and slips hard at WOT. Are there any tricks to it? I'm not even sure if the right bolt is on the alternator. (The one that goes longitudally) it's threaded all the way and doesn't seem to make any adjustments.

Just a heads up: I had similar issues with my belt making noise. Turned out to be the alternator going bad.

I know I've had multiple leaks at that spot on multiple cars. There is no reason why you shouldn't run a gasket there, so maybe order a new gasket and take it to the local shop to get a surface check. Also, make sure you are using some locking nuts for it as well and torquing it to the appropriate tightness.

I'm not sure what's going on with your belt. Maybe snap some pics of the setup and start a new thread about it.
