Has anyone run q16 if so what did you have to change to make it run effectively?

Please no responses if you've never run q16

I have tested basically every variety of fuel vp makes short of their methanol or nitro. The q16 fuel is oxygenated, its tends to burn quickly so you need to add 5% maybe a little more to your fuel. I have read that its more efficient the lower your air charge temps are. I have only used 10 gallons of it, I like it better than c16 but its expensive. I still prefer e85 but that mostly due to cost and the lead factor

After switching from pump gas to vp race fuel my life changed for ever. If you are looking to make power safely there is no excuse to run pump gas, unless your a master tuner running 0 timing that is. The engine came alive..... couldnt believe it.

Q16 has a stoich of 13.43. It's not like other fuels that are closer to 14.7. You you will have to adjust any global injector settings to accommodate.

I've run Q16 since 2008, I freaking love it.

I used to run C16 only. But i switched to e85. I like it better.i never trued Q for the reason it has MTBE which swells the injector seals and makes them flow less specifically my 2150's.. Unless you are running FIC1650's which are rated for all types of gas. Still think e85 is the way to go. Plus it's cheap

I think what he meant was start a thread about it in the tuning and engine management section. You will get more visibility from people who really help with tuning there.

Short answer, you do it on the fuel tab that you posted a picture of. Where it says global fuel percentage. You may find this link helpful. http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/fuelsettingshelp?s[]=global&s[]=fuel

I just swapped in my new 2150s from 1650s and just sat in the car and tund it. You can tell if what you did is bad or good. Save your current tune as a failsafe. I can definetly feel it in my car. Anyone else with suggestions? I'm a old school tuner.

Im retired..i don't know all the semantics of a forum..im.trying to build a badass DSM..period

Nice manifold and turbo and double clutch etc etc ..LOL
