I did a quick search and didn't find what I was looking for. My friend is going to be getting his DSM up and running again, and part of the process is going to be cleaning his throttle body. I was needing to know if there were any parts like gaskets or o-rings that should be changed while we have it off to clean it. I'm going to give the VFAQ articles a good read too before we do this. We will hopefully test his ISC while we are at it and hope its alright. Thank you very much for your help. :)

There are only 2 seals in there. As long as it is 91+ they can be replaced at MachV.com. Go to VFAQ.com for details and it is also on www.roadraceengineering.com on how to rebuild make sure you mark the spring on the side!

His is a 91 but mine is a 90 and I was planning on doing it soon too. What's different about the two and where would I find parts for mine?

it seems that the 90s have different o-ring sizes. There is not much info on where to get the correct ones. I've had trouble finding good part numbers. If you do find out what is needed please let us know.

see:

this is what the first link says:
"Update: 2003 03 24
I have received a few emails from some 1990 DSM owners, indicating that they have differences in the sizes of their seals. I did do some work on a 90, at one point, with no problem, but it would appear that there were differences throughout the 1990 year. If anyone has the exact sizes for the (earlier?) 1990 TB shaft seals, please forward them to me, and I will include the details here."

he gave no more updates.
