Leon, I have not heard from Jon in quite some time, he sort of went into a cave under a rock. Been 3 years since I heard from him. Last time I knew, he had the SL-R still, along with Beaky (his 2G AWD).

Oh wow, this must be Jon Lindquist, my old friend in Houston. I think he was literally the first DSMer I ever met. Really nice guy. Too bad I can't see the pictures on the thread

Yes, Jon Lindquist, he's GREAT people, i wish he came back around, he is a wonderful person and was an asset to the community. I just checked and he took down his projectsl-r.com site as well.

His http://www.eosperformance.com/ site is still live on facebook, but hasn't been touched in 3 years at - https://www.facebook.com/EosPerformance/

Yep, I was one of the original members of EOS. Man, I had so much fun back then with the EOS guys. We met up basically every weekend and just went out and raced and had fun. Jon is a great guy, he had one of the nicest cars in Houston.

Story time: his car (back then) had a brand new fmic, b16g and paintjob etc. Apparently, he did a bunch of computer programming for a guy and the guy couldn't pay so he just gave Jon all these new parts and painted his car for him (beaky paint job). I guess the guy was a dsmer. Haha, that's where the beaky 2g originated.

It all ended when it came out (somehow) that the EOS group funds were missing. Hundreds to thousands of dollars. Jon was basically the sole administrator of the group and he got blamed for it and couldn't account for the funds. Long story short, at some point one of the other guys had access to the bank account and kept siphoning money out of there and just let Jon take the fall. We all found it pretty quickly it was this other dsmer doing it, but I felt terrible that ole Slanted J felt so much heat about that. From then on, I think he was done with EOS. Great guy and good friend.

I ran into J at a rock venue here in janeville a couple years ago. We chated a few minutes. He mentioned that he did finally get the slr road legal and that beaky had just become a parts bi*** for a bit. I know he and a couple of the other janesville guys had a hard fallout after his last shootout (i believe it was '13). Ive texted him a handful of times when id be on the lookout for some parts and id get short replys a couple days later but thats about it. Too bad he was good shit. I miss hanging out with them all!
