Hey guys, I attempted a to search for this a few times, but the internet is so heavily plagued with "how do I vent" posts that I can't actually find what I need. My wife bought my 95 talon for me while I was on deployment, I'm home now and some moron put an atmo BOV on an otherwise stock talon. I can tell he wasn't very performance oriented because the car has a k&n air filter, big ol' fart can exhaust, and an annoying purple BOV. I checked the ECU for any sign of tuning, and there's none. Ripped out the back seats, carpet and interior panels and gutted about 15 pounds of garbage, hack job speaker, sub, and amp wires and cables, so I know he was all about being annoying and loud. Anyways, my question is, what exactly do I need to return my BOV to stock other than the obvious BOV which I have. I bought a crushed 1g from a member, and obviously need a way to plumb it back into the intake, but can I just use some sort of radiator hoses and assorted fittings and clamps to make it work? Or do I need an actual OEM dump tube? Any thoughts or advice to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Post a pic of the bypass valve you have on the car. The flange on the upper intercooler piping is what is important to determine what you need to do. You will also have to address however the PO ran the compressor inlet pipe as well.

need a picture or good description of what is currently there. is there any tube connecting turbo intake pipe with upper ic pipe? if not then you have to either buy or fab up something. with a 1g bov I'd personally just buy an upper ic pipe with flange for 1 and know it's going to hold pressure.

Here's the page from the FSM for the BOV.

Here's some pictures I took today. It has the stock intake with some plug inserted and some sealant spread all over. It's not nearly done at all. I'm guessing I could just pop out that plug, smooth out the hole and make something from Home Depot or lowes.

I honestly don't like the sound. I don't like attracting attention, I'd much rather keep my cars potential to myself haha. Not to mention there's actually a power loss when venting to atmosphere

Your best option would be the metal Evo MR bypass valve. It is a direct replacement for the 2g OE piping and can hold about 25-26 psi. I suggest this over the 1g valve you already have. First, you will need to buy an adapter to use the 1g. Secondly, due to age, many of the 1g units leak as well. A used Evo bypass valve should run about $60.

As far as the intake where the record. Hose would go, I would find an OE replacement or go with a recirc. aftermarket intake.

You beat me to it! OP do this

Take that cap off and clean out the intake. If you bought a 1g BOV you'll need a new flange. If you don't want a new flange stock evo BOV fit perfect and hold much better boost than our stock units

OP won't be able to you the intake pipe as the portion that the recirc./dump tube would connect to has been removed.

Yup! Looks more like the previous owner removed the plastic tube that goes inside the intake. He might be able to find a peace cheap, rig something up, or buy a different intake (stock or aftermarket)
