LOL, anyone? Just found out about those turbos and they look awesome. I was looking along the lines of a 6758 with the twinscroll T4...

I would go with the 7163.

the new EFR 7163 with the new MFT tech is really performing well. Apparently it spools like a 7064 but flows 60 lb/min. That is HX35 territory! I have seen 550 WHP on an STi, and 3500 RPM to 20PSI on a single scroll .85 housing already (on an EJ25, so take that into account). Not bad at all.

Too big. I'm looking for good spoolup, as it's gonna be a street/trackday car after all. About 450AWHP would be more than fine for me.

Well, it's been a long time since I've been around.
FWIW, I did infact buy a T4 TS EFR7670 from Full Race back in early 2011.
A couple months after I received the turbo I ran into a pretty gnarly health problem and the surgeon wasn't sure if I'd survive the procedure so I sold it.

Well, I survived and it's been 6yrs since the surgery.

I could've switched platforms, but 2gb's are sooo easy to tune, make handle, stop and obviously haul azz that now I'm looking at building my newly acquired 99 GSX into a track day road racer/weekend warrior.

I do have 6758 on my summit project. car runs and drives great on stock fuel injectors. getting pretty close to tuning the car. goal is low 380-400 whp through the a/t trans.

Bump....

I'm looking at buying something new since my HTA88 finally toasted itself. Did anyone ever put an EFR on their DSM? If so what kind of thoughts do you have? Was it an improvement on the front of the pants dyno numbers?

I never got around to it as I mentioned above.
I’m eyeing the EFR8474, but it’ll probably be close to a $2,500+ turbo.
I’ll probably end up running the BorgWarner S362SX-E.
