I recently installed my AEM 30-0300 wideband and it's stuck in what I guess is a warmup cycle. The gauge reads HEAt > ..... > LS4.9 > HEAt etc. If I hold the gauge in my hand and turn it just right I can get an AFR reading. But as soon as I stop holding my mouth right it goes right back into that cycle.

I've installed a a few LC1s and one other AEM so I'm certain I installed it correctly. I've verified the wideband is getting 12v through the red wire and the ground is solid. Anyone else ran into this problem or know how to fix it?

I also emailed AEM a few days ago and haven't gotten a response. Any ideas?

It sounds like it's not heating up correctly or not calibrated? I know this is an obvious answer, but I'm sure AEM has a huge tech support department. I would just call them right now and see what they say.

I tried, even posted on their forum. I got a message saying they're going through some database change over right now. I'm hoping they'll get to me in a few days.

It seems like there could be something loose inside because moving causes it to work correctly for a couple seconds.

I had a hell of a time getting my lc2 wideband to work correctly. Never figured out what the problem was...it just started working one day.

Just an update, it's stuck in what support calls boot loop. Sounds like they've seen it before, and the only fix is replace the unit which they're doing under warranty.

BTW, their support is pretty awesome. I got email updates on the whole process. I knew exactly when they received my busted unit, when they were working on it, and what they found. They're shipping me a whole new one and it should be here on Tuesday.

Sucks I'm out $12 shipping to fix this, but I'm stoked they fixed it 3+ months after I bought it. That 12 months warranty is choice.
