Hi,
My Lc-1 was working fine for one season, then the car sat for about three years, and when i started it up again the other day the wideband was just reading full lean (22.4)
After i free air recalibrated it it gave me an error code 8, so i went out and bought a new sensor.
Everything worked good for about one day until it suddenly started showing full lean again (22.4)
I doubt the new sensor is at fault.
Should the Lc-1 controller not function for more than one season? I only idled and cruised the car for the one day it was working again.
Both the grounds are grounded at the same point on the chassis.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

So this can happen if the power source is weak? Might be it since ive installed a new head unit since last time i ran it, and I've used the same power source wire for it.

If i end up having to get the lc-2, is it easy to swap out the lc-1 with it? Same color wires, same operation etc.?

Thanks

LC-1 and LC-2 have different wire colors.
The wiring is pretty easy and straightforward. I love how much easier it is to calibrate the LC-2 vs the LC-1.

I wired mine perfect in my opinion... Yet I just got the error code 8. New sensor on the way.
Wiring is relay w/ fused power straight from the battery (turn on being the same one for MFI relay so I don't lose power on start). So idk what's going on. I plan on following this thread and contributing....

I think maybe the issues have to do with the controller. When I had issues, I quadruple-checked my wiring and even added the relays that the instructions asked for and nothing fixed it. It just randomly started working one day. I solder all my wires too.

I never had a problem for I don't even know how many years with my LC-1. I get an LC-2 and it's being kind of a bugger...
We shall see... I have it mounted on the O2 housing (which I know isn't ideal because of the heat), but I had my LC-1 like that on a 240sx with no issue. So idk what gives...

Now, when the sensor is cold its working, but after just idling a bit and the IAT gets up to about 90 the lc-1 stops working again.
Its weird cus the controller doesnt feel warm, and the sensor is brand new.
I also wired it up with a relay straight to the battery positive and negative terminals, still had the same problem.
I dont think its too close to the turbo, cus i never had problems with it there for the whole previous season.

Edit: Does the sensor need ground through the exhaust pipe?
