Anyone try the carbon hatch and or the sun roof delete panel from carbonetics? If so how is fitment?

I've got the doors and sunroof panel. The fit finish of both are good, although my install of the plug was a bit unorthodox. Since my car is drag only, I removed the sunroof track/motor assembly and used an adhesive to bond the panel into the sunroof hole (with the gasket on the panel). The panel with the gasket fit snug into the hole, so I believe that it would have worked as intended if installed correctly into the track/motor assembly (and used in a normal sense).

Ok thanks i am looking into getting the sunroof delete panel because I do not want a sunroof at all. Did the plug come with a gasket or did you use your original?

Here's the thing with any mid grade cf products from carbonetics, vis, seibon, carbon creations, etc. Sometimes they don't fit. I've been doing a ton of research lately on a cheap ($500-600) hood to replace my damaged stocker and it's really quite amusing reading all the "reviews" and complaints, especially since 90% are over 10 years old and manufacturing processes have greatly changed since then.
Everyone complains about fading/cracking/yellowing on hoods because it seems no one uses a heat shield, or people park their cars with cf components outside and it shrinks. No matter what brand it is the process and materials tend to be the same (in this price range), and this stuff does not stand up to the elements well.
Fitment: it just goes without saying that many cf parts don't fit right out of the box. That just comes with the territory. Thing is, people still try to make a part that does.obviously not fit fit. The review Spyder drifter posted is a perfect example. I saw a you tube video of a guy with a wrx trunk he was destroying to get a new one, and fitment wasnt nearly as bad as the hatch in that review. You see people with cf hoods close a gap with hood pins and wonder why the gel coat cracked.

So it comes down to customer service. Out of all the complaints of components not fitting correctly, extreme dimensions/carbon creations is the only company who actually has parameters of how the parts fit, and if it falls outside of that they'll send you a new one if you send a video of the part being destroyed. Hoods, hatches, trunks, etc are not supposed to look warped. One side shouldn't pop up higher. That's a manufacturing defect. Unfortunately many companies make it difficult to exchange a large product and I've read nightmare stories about horrendous customer service. Just keep this in mind if you try to install a part that doesn't fit in the first place and then get mad when the thing cracks in a few months when the.warranty runs out. Although many people talk sh*t on CC I settled on their hood because of their return policy, and it's the only hood I could find a (good)review on in the last year.

Sorry for the long post, just had to get it out.

I used my original, since it was in good shape. The new gaskets are somewhat difficult to work with; plus they are difficult to find.

im just not a sunroof guy and mine leaked on me enough times to make me want to weld a plate over it and call it a day. (havent done that yet LOL)
