anyone have a clear right up for a 97 eclipse gst led taillight bulb installation? I put my new led bulbs in, obviously had hyperblink so I installed the resistors with vampire clips that were provided (not my fav) anyway still have hyperblink, anyone have this same issue and found a fix?

Yes. Find a "timer" flasher relay. I don't have one for my Talon but have one for my DD and it blinks at a set rate. I could adapt one for a DSM pretty easy tho. I went with all LED as much as possible to get rid of small draws equalling a decent amount on the charging system/battery.

How did you hook up the resistors ? Did you see any change whatsoever before and after putting in the resistors?

I had the same problem this weekend. The driver side resistor was getting too hot to touch.. the hazards worked but the signals both had resistors and it hyperflashed. I ended up buying some canbus bulbs and hope that will work. Interested in the timer relay...

Resistor were hooked into the taillight bulb wire. I started with hooking one end of resistor to ground and the other to solid green positive wire. That didn't work so moved from green wire to green and white wire. Still didn't work, so maybe I need to move the ground and just use the two green wires through the load resistor. I will give it a shot later and post what happens

Here is the relay needed for LED's, incandescent or a combo of both. RockAuto or probably a local parts store. It provides a constant flash under any load.

Well I tried attaching load resistor in everyway possible and still have hyperblink sigh..... I'm looking into the relay

The EP34 works great in my car and they sold it at my local parts store but if your unit is a combined flasher like in the picture attached, then you will need to wire one in for it to flash at one set rate. 97's show a optional flasher/turn combo unit.

I would say, if you are using resistors to replicate the load, then put them in line with the + side of the LED or right AFTER the flasher but before it gets to the bulbs. Give that a try
