So this sbc has about 3000 miles on it. After about 300 miles I pulled the tranny and got the flywheel step height checked and it was.610 and I shimmed the ball. My shift fork was slightly favoring the drivers side. I put a new oem master and slave with a ss line straight from the master to slave. I bled the lines then adjusted the clutch pedal per Jacks videos. Then I bled the line again and then confirmed the clutch pedal was adjusted correctly. Put on around 3k miles with no launching and no high Rev shifting and this is how the clutch looks.
What could be causing this?

How was the clutch behaving before you removed it? I have about 1200 miles on my sbc and im getting vibrations under slow disengagment. First 500 miles it was fine now all of sudden it shakes the whole car.

Interesting......how so? Can you elaborate a bit more?

I'm genuinely curious as I have weird clutch PP wear issues that I'm exploring different reasons still.

engine harmonics on straight four are worse than any other engine design, when the clutch is disengaged it can absorb the harmonics and vibrate. there is a local here using solid center discs and the friction material is rattling off in 2000 miles. no launches, no heat signs. fiction material is just flying off.

just a theory. kinda hard to prove. but if it did vibrate the outer part of disc would whip back and forth between the fly and PP.

That totally makes sense. Vib's can do a lotta damage. Thanks for the insight. :)

The clutch actually felt fine to me. I only really noticed it while down shifting from 3rd to 2nd. It would lock me out occasionally. But once the clutch would warm up it felt fine.
