I have my gst running 27psi on e85 and its around 350-400 hp never got dynoed...
I DO NOT launch my car, ever.. and only time i will is next years shootout..

But i believe my passenger axle is clunking.. and its annoying as hell. but i saw the car places around me have axles for sale for around 69.99$..

I am assuming they would be able to withstand my cars power correct? Especially since i don't launch? Also i baby the hell out of this car and only had 10k miles put on in 3 years...

Thanks!:D

I broke the drivers side axle. I also had the inboard boot spin on the passenger OEM axle, which shot grease everywhere (not sure how this happened).

I'd suggest just giving Brian a call. He'll be able to tell you more about his axles than I will. The reason I went with them is because of the lifetime warranty on the bars/joints, the ability to setup for road racing, and being able to use an OEM hub, unlike the high hp DSS axles that require a custom hub from them, all while having a really great price. I know there aren't a lot of people on here running them, but I'm not sure they've been around for that long either. I'm looking forward to putting them to use next season.

FWIW, I put down a 1.8 60' on slicks using the OEM axles, followed by a 1.9 and 2.0 and no issues. I still need some more seat time and practice to get those times down.

Ill have to get ahold of him this week and see what kinda price he wants. I was a little upset switching out of my awd trans because I lost out on using my fidanza axles. I've had so many passes on them with 26" slicks plus a year of abuse with my awd cutting 1.4-1.5s and a 1.3.

Feedback from others would be nice but it looks like I can with my car cut 1.6s all day and be somewhat safe.

I think I commented on the fwd thread Brian. Seat time for sure. Get the bugs worked out and get that thing hitting 1.7s.

As far as I know, Dsmkauai is the only other guy on here using Terhune axles. I think there's a third guy who's purchased them but not sure if he's put them to use yet.

That 1.8 happened on my second time using the slicks and I had just kind of got the hang of launching before I damaged the motor. I don't have any doubts I can push it further after I get the car back up and running :thumb: Next goal is 1.7 or 1.6 60' and hopefully into the 11's.

I had a set from Brian but swapped to auto and only does them for 5 speed. I keep putting a bug in his ear to make some rear axles ;).

Figure I'll add to this. I ran the stock 2G axles all season. Cut pretty much consistent 1.6s best was a 1.62. Ran most the time on M/T 24.5s. I switched over to M&H 24.5s and a totally different tire to drive on. Broke the driver side axle coming out of the burnout. I was letting off to finish the burnout, car hopped once and on the second hop it broke the shaft right where the clamp holds the inner boot. If you look that's right where the axle shaft narrows down. Im trying to get ahold of Brian to see what he can get for me.

EDIT: I called Brian and he got right back to me. Being a sole member in doing axles he was very informative and Im going to be looking forward to running a set of axles for him. Those who need axles go to his site http://www.terhuneraceworks.com/ and give him a call. He has many options and is getting me squared away.
