Hey guys having small odd issue. Car is a 98 gsx runs great but if I turn the boost up to 12 pounds the car will pull good for about 4 separate pulls then the car will start to bog and hesitate until I turn the boost back down to around 8-10psi. Not sure what the issue is car has no boost leaks at all thanks. Current mod list

Stock 7 bolt
Greddy type s bov
FMIC
Walbro 255 re-wired
AEM fuel rail
Stock injectors
Full 3 inch exhaust
Injen intake
Big16g turbo
NSX manual boost controller
NGK BPR6es plugs gapped to .28 I believe.

Being that you have a big16g, as stated above, you are more then likely running out of fuel due to the cfm's differing between the stock turbo and the 16g. If you can log, log injector duty cycle. If you cant log, why would you throw on a different turbo if you can't tune it?

12 shouldn't be an issue at all. I have a 16g with stock injectors and stock fuel pump. I can easily do 13-14lbs anytime of day, wheather it be at the cold of night ;) or hot day. No bucking issues.

Do you have a AFPR for that 255?
Any exhaust leaks ? (Head to manifold, turbo to manifold, o2 housing)
How's the spool? Full boost and no power?

are you running rich or lean? do you smell gas after a couple of pulls? I really don't know much about your situation might have a clogged injector or might need a tune?

Is your fuel filter getting dirty & in need of being replaced?

My first suggestion would be turn down the boost.

Second, if you have a AFPR, to get your fuel pressure back to normal (if it isn't).

If I have the boost below it's full boost and power. Even when it bogs it has full boost and power but it just starts to pull them stop then start pulling again

Asked this question earlier. Do you have any exhaust leaks pre turbo?

Also, again, do you have a AFPR?

Anytime I go into full boost

the car reads fully lean for both low boost when it runs normal and 12 pounds when it bogs out
You probably should have started this thread with that.

If you are going that lean it means that you aren't getting enough fuel, which means your ecu can't add enough, and you are hitting fuel cut. The ECU is trying to add more fuel than it feels comfortable doing (more than makes sense anyways). It realizes this is silly and can't possibly be right, and stops injecting fuel (maybe pulls spark?), hence no power because you are missing power strokes. If i remember right this happens when your injector duty cycle is over 120%. Is it only near the top of the RPM range? You really should be able to run near 16 psi on stock fuel system and yours is significantly upgraded.

Either way, you need to figure out if something is broke and limiting your fuel supply (clogged fuel filter, clogged injectors, re-wire isn't quite right, pump is bad, etc) or if you simply don't have enough fuel (injectors too small, pressure too low).

Because 1g MT

Because 2g AT

'Nuff said.

Without a way to tune you're probably overloading your MAF sensor which causes fuel cut and I do not see a way to tune in your mods list. Keep your PSI low, check for boost leaks, check compression. Check your spark plugs and then get a way to tune your car properly if you want to turn the boost up higher.

When you read threads about people that can run a 16g at 16psi no problems? Those are almost always 1gMT guys. That DOES NOT apply to you.
