I encourage anyone to search "id1700 failures" and see how id tried to roll out a non endurance tested injector to beta test on its customers. It looks like they ended up going back to Bosch and getting a new design endurance tested to fix the issue. But, I don't like companies that actually charge people to basically test a product.
Yes I agree and treating consumers like guinea pigs sux!!

There are some good videos on youtube about how extensive their testing is in house before selling a product. I'm not sure what happened with the injector models you guys are talking about but I'm sure the issue was fixed.

This doesn't make up for the fact that FIC used DI data sets to sell their own injectors without arriving at the numbers themselves. I don't intend to debate with anyone here but you're welcome to go do the research. AFAIK FIC doesn't dynamically test their injectors. There are videos of ID injectors being tested by independent tuners (HP Tuners for instance) showing that the injectors matched exactly to the data sheets sent with them at every duty cycle and voltage. I also don't know that, again, other injector companies are selling injectors in direct partnership with Bosch. Buying a large number of injectors from a company isn't the same thing as a partnership.

Any stand up company is not going to test products on their customers on purpose.

What about the siemens deka 220lb injector? It supposedly has stainless internals and flows a lot from factory without modifications and is the correct height for DSM.

These appear to be low impedance, which I'd prefer to use high impedance, as they seem to be better performing on the street for a large injector.

Through more research of my own, ive settled on going with FIC's. The reputation in the real world application seems to be very good, while I did see alot of the ID1700 issues on other forums. That doesn't mean ID's are bad, or that FIC's are better necessarily, i just want something functional that isn't crazy expensive. Since the fic1650s should do that, thats what I'll end up going with.

Im gunna say that the highz 1650s are the best injector ive ever ran, cars runs amazing. Couldnt be happier.....Ive run pte, fic, rc and id. Happiest with the fic, not to mention they support our community and provide data sheets with what voltages to run in dsmlink.

Hear what your saying however hands down most folks use FIC's in comparison.

As much as I would love to run FICs or IDs its tempting to try out FIDs to save some money. They are a Bosch injector. I cant find much info on them but the little that I did find seems to be all positive. If anyone here has experience with FIDs please chime in, it would be nice to know how they stack up against FICs and IDs.
