My AC discharge line blew up at the end of the summer last year. I want to replace it and charge up my system before it gets too hot. The problem is, where do I get a replacement?
I searched on ebay and came across some used OEM ones. Not sure I trust these as mine blew up and perhaps these used ones are on their way out. I'd like to buy new if possible.
I found new ones made by 4 seasons and ordered one part# 55214. It matched up in the compatibility chart and I foolishly assumed it was the correct part. I just tried replacing the old one and learned that it was not the right one. Along with the hassle of returning it, I searched and found several part numbers made by the same company that are supposed to fit and they all look different. I think part number 55217 looks the closest, but I'm not sure if it will fit. My question is, has anyone replaced theirs with an aftermarket part and if so, what part number/manufacturer did you use? Or am I stuck having to find an OEM one used or a new one that is ridiculously priced? Thanks.
