So I have a bare block that im about to wire brush but I want to do it the best way I can. I know to tape it off and not wire brush any of the mating surfaces. I heard about baking the block since some paints call for that but I dont know if the block will fit in my oven so I heard about boiling water and then putting the can of vht paint in it and then paint the block. I already got the paint, it says flame proof header paint and something about silica and ceramic coating. I bought it to do the valve cover and maybe the calipers. Its silver so i figured i could do the block incase i ever have an oil leak, it will be easier to notice than painting it black.
