So im working on a friend's car and we can't find out why his car is starting but not staying on we have replaced battery, starter ,starter solenoid ,crankshaft sensor ,cam position sensor ,idle air ,throttle position ,spark plugs ,coil packs and the fuses to the ignition what else should I be trying

1g? I had a 1g that had ecu problems from leaking caps and wouldn't keep the mpi relay closed. Car would turn off immediately after startup. You could just take the plastic cover off and watch it open when it should stay closed. I agree with cudadrt though, sounds like the pump is running during cranking and not running at key on position. If any wiring was changed in the fuel pump circuit make sure the power is sourced from a circuit which has power during cranking and with the ignition switch in the run position. Good luck, I hope that helps. Have you done any diagnostic testing? Reporting what you have tested and verified might help rule out other potential issues.

Ya, need to make sure you have fuel pressure. Maybe see if it will keep running if spray some intake cleaner into intake, that would narrow it down to fuel issue

I had a 2002 bonneville that did the exact same thing.. Changed oil, fuel filter, spark plugs because they were needed and replaced the battery since the neg cable was practically broken off inside the battery... Ended up being a very dirty maf. i think i just unplugged it and it ran fine, thats how i figured it out. Not sure if you can try it that way with a turbocharged car but I thought i would mention it. Let us know if you get it figured out. Good luck.

Motor has 0 miles on it and and fuel is 40, new spark plugs coil packs, new starter new battery and timing is on

Please try to describe any weird behavior, it might help give clues to why its shutting down.

Does it always shut off after the same amount of time after it starts? Or does it run longer sometimes than others? Could you take a video on your phone and upload to youtube? A video might help depending on what the issue is.

Do you have any way to log the ECU? If you do, post a log. If not, just keep telling us anything you can that you think is strange.

How does it run when it starts? Is it smooth? Is it rought? Or does it just fire a few times during cranking and then stop?

The fuel pressure should be around 43 with vacuum hooked up, but 40 should be good enough as long as it don't drop out. I would recommend WhiteTalon007's point and check the maf. It could be dirty or bad. You could try unhooking the maf and see if it does the same thing. If so, I would try another maf. Also more specific info would be good as rabenne has suggested.
