1997 automatic mitsubishi eclipse gsx

Hi, I recently had bent valves, so the new one was installed and everything is hooked up and ready to go, but now the car won't start.
All the electrical turns on, but the car won't start, can anyone please give me some advice or any past experiences with this?

Any help would be REALLY appreciated, thank you so much fellow dsm r's

Ok, we'll nobody did the machine work, we got the new head off a gs-t at the pick & pull, the head is really good and the gs-t was all oem from what we saw.
Basically we didn't check the spark plugs or the compression because it was dark already, but we will do that tomorrow morning. Also, it does have fuel.
The car has been sitting since January.
When I put the key in the ignition, the car it starts to beep like five times or so like it normally does, all the lights in guages turn on and no check engine light is on.
When I turn the key, the engine won't start.

Someone said to see a picture of your engine "as is"... it won't start without a timing belt.
Sorry, I know that's not your only problem, just had to put it out there. I'm sure the belts on by now

I agree with miliman13 in wanting to know if it is cranking or not and motomattx has a point with the 3 prong connector as I've done the same thing before. I believe one is for the coil and te other is for the a/c. Make sure you have the correct one. From there, check as already recommended for spark, compression, and fuel.

I would venture to say if the head is the only thing you changed, then I wouldn't suspect the ground to the starter being off. Maybe pull the starter and have it tested. Possible that it just went out, though I find it highly unlikely. Also, not to judge your competence, have you checked your battery connection? A poor connection will allow gauges and lights to work, but then drop out when trying to start. I have been through this before with dirty terminal connections.

From what i been reading in this post thus far, the only thing i could think of is what a few people have mention (your starter) i would definately check to see if your battery is fully charged as well. If the batterry doesnt have enough power it could fail at turning on the engine. Are your dashboard lights dimming?

I had this same issue.... idk if it applies to 2g but when I pulled my tranny and did my clutch I removed and unplugged a lot of electrical lines. Well fast forward and it's time to start so key is in, lights turn on, no starter! The hell? Straight wire jumped it to see and it started. I re went through all the connections and it looked like I missed one that gives Power to the starter which was underneath the battery tray.might check that

Edit: I had *fuel as well as *spark - compression was average also

Alright fellas, so I start looking at the car today and probably about 1hr 1/2 I notice that under the intake manifold I see the starter, I notice this connection to the starter isnt fully on the starter, so I grab a long flat head and I try to fully put it on.
I try to start the car and it's cranking, it'seems trying to start, I'm thinking it could be the timing belt that's off?
