Hi everyone, happy new year :) first off, thank you for opening this thread :)
So...
I've been thinking of upgrading from the t25 to the big 16g turbo. I'm not to sure what else It is i need in order to do this, but right now I currently have :

1. CAI
2. Intercooler
3. Intercooler pipes
4. bov
5. Performance Exhaust manifold
6. Gates RPM timing belt
7. Manual boost controller
8. Megan racing aftermarket exhaust (down pipe too)
9. Guages
10. Front strut bar
11. Rear strut bar

How far am I? Am I half way their with what I have? What else do I need?? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you and happy new year :)

This is also why intercooling increases power. More mass air at the same psi (almost). There is pressure drop to consider but you get the point. Cooler charge contains more mass

Fair enough, but i doubt the difference between a 14b and 16g is even noticeable on the butt dyno

For me it was, and as mentioned I noted an increase of fuel consumption at the same boost levels. My 14b had the wastegate hole cracked right across the middle and wouldn't allow the flapper to close all the way, perhaps waste gate leaks causes choked exhaust flow by the turbine wheel shaft speed being slower??. I'm building boost way sooner in the RPMs (12@2600), and feels like it keeps pulling vs feeling rather flat at 4k. Again I also did a stock 2g Exhaust manifold at the same time. My s16g had a 6cm housing which I thought was odd.
Butt yes, butt dyno's lie and are probably susceptible to falling for placebos...

My butt dyno isn't accurate either. When I first put my Evo III on it felt slower than the T25. My speed climbs faster at 11psi on the 16G than on the T25 at 15psi, but doesn't feel as punchy and spools up much later. Having power past 5k is nice though.

Y'all mind if I jump in?
I'm getting the extreme psi 16g install kit for my setup.
Comes with j pipe oil feed line and drain
Coolant lines I believe. And the gaskets and what not
For a daily. Thoughts?

You will have to do the old "swap the waterlines and bend one of them" trick, but it should work.

Hey I'm in the same boat I had a big t28 on the eclipse I bought a few months ago it was smoking some times mostly when I go on it or under declaration I thought it was the turbo so I took it off and there was shaft play in and out and side to side and there was cracks all in the housing so I bought a big 16g and my old turbo coolant lines are kinda shot so my question is what are the best coolant lines for the 16g swap in a 2g should I order 2g 1g or try to find Evo 1-3 ? Thanks

You can use your 2g lines just have to swap the back line to the front and front line to the back. You may have to bend the line a little. Stick a screw driver in them and bend slowly to prevent kinking it.

Also, this answer is just about everywhere. Search button is your friend.

I know I can use the old one but my old ones are in bad shape so I was searching to find out if there is a better way see how I am going to buy new ones just wanted to know what ones where best before I bought the stock ones thanks and I still am looking to see if there is a better way cuz I have the fp 4inch intake pipe and it hits the line coming out of the block
