I just bought this car earlier tonight and drove an hour back home and it's boost wouldn't build and it wouldnt go past 3k rpms and it doesn't have a stock turbo I believe it is a t-25 I'm new to the car world this just my second car. So any help Yall could give me would help alot also do you guys know about what they need to idle at I have to adjust my idle with a screwdriver. Thank ya for your read and time please get back to me

Take your time and search, read, then search some more and read some more.

These are all common problems with a car that's been neglected. Like already mentioned, doing some standard maintenance, a boost leak test, shaft play check, etc will probably solve a lot of your issues, and if they don't, you'll have a much better idea of what the car needs.

Your poll at the top isn't ideal either. Need to start broad and rule out areas of concern.

Does the car cut out or break up at 3k while accelerating or is the idle surging to 3k? You likely have a few issues that are causing the problem. GofaST4life is absolutely right. Find an issue, search the forum for the cause and knock them out one at a time. The answers are all here too because each one of us have been through the same thing. Welcome to DSM life, you are now a full time mechanic!

Is the car automatic or 5 speed?
 
I highly doubt the car has a T-25 turbo as that would be a step back in terms of performance do you have a picture of it?

As far as the issue of not going past 3k RPM did you check and make sure all of the intercooler pipes are tight, and the intake is seated up against the mass? If yes, my next move would be to check the condition of the plugs and wires, and do a boost leak test.
 
Like others have said, make sure all pipping connections are tight, and give the car a basic once over to ensure all parts are in good working order. Could be your turbo, could be a number of air leakd or pipping just to name a few.

Never seen a t25 in a 1g before. An odd choice, but I'm sure it works. Someone might have picked the bones of a 2g for spare parts to get this one running.

Looks like there is a clear cover on the 2g maf keeping dirt and moisture out. I've never opened mine up so can anyone tell if it's been modified? I'm wondering if there might be something else going on there causing some issues.
 
Like others have mentioned, check that all intake hoses are tight.
Check all intercooler hoses.
It may have an issue with the maf.
How does it idle? Does it rev past 3k in neutral.?
Check spark plugs and wires.

If it can rev to redline, that partially rules out maf.
If you know how to check timing. That can help too.
What is your backround round with cars?

I don't have much experience with cars I'm only 17 but I took her to a mechanic and she starts everytime now but she still gets bogged down in the higher rpms
 
Or a plugged up fuel filter??? General Maintenance items but should be on a list of things to do.
