Ok like the title says, I installed the arps without removing anything. My compression was 150 across the board +\- 2 psi and did a compression leak test of the radiator. Everything passed with flying dollars. I took the car out And turned up the boost to 25-26 psi and I'm making 48lbs a minute at 7k. The hp estimate is giving me 430hp. I'm using 93 and meth injection. The fp black is amazing, can't say enough.... I wonder how close I am to that power.

That's some good numbers. Is this with drivetrain loss set to .20 or 0? If its uncorrected then what your seeing is crank hp and not whp. On my 16g I'm seeing 38lbs/min and est of 370hp uncorrected and 305 corrected.

I need to look at the log, I was under the impression over 48 lbs a min.... You are looking at 9.8hp per pound of air at 48lbs minus drivetrain loss etc. The car feels like it's making big power.....the fp black is flowing a lot of air. I will double check the log though. I'm fully aware that this is just an estimate.... Just going through the math it looked accurate

So if your making 305 on a 16g at 38.... 10 more lbs a minute with the fp black..... Should be close to that estimate. Won't know really until I get on the dyno. All I can say is that the fp black is amazing

Good numbers. Stock intake manifold? What cams? I just hit 52 lb/min with my fp green hta at 27 psi. I have smim and 276 cams though. Looking to upgrade to fp black during the winter.

Gsc stage 1, jmfab race manifold, 1000cc injectors , Devils own meth injection, arp head bolts, speed density on dsmlink

Nice were almost the same (bc 276 cams). Cant wait till you turn up that fp black to see its potential. Internal or external wastegate? My internal fp green sucks at keeping boost down. It creeps from 22 to 27 by redline. Thankgod for meth injection haha

That's why I dumped the green, I switched to an external setup on the black. Even 26 psi on the black pulls really hard

I'm building a block on the side as we speak....the car has to be making close to 400, I have an modded sti and it pulls much harder.

^^ yes, so have most of us on here at one point in time. I did it on my gst with prob 160-180k miles and the stock Hg haha. Not a single issue.

In what order do you replace them? Are they torqued as they are replaced (one by one)? Or do you snug them all then follow the torque pattern in the repair manual?

I have not done it myself but I imagine if you take one out at a time and snug it down like 30ftlbs you know forearm strength one by one until they are all in and then torque following the fsm you know from the center out etc.. You would be fine.

Yes, remove and replace from the center out, follow the tightening sequence. I'll torque the ARP's down to 60 Ft-lbs when I first install them, after they're all installed I'll go back and torque them down to 90.
