Hi every one. I'm a noob and would like to get some info on how to get my car not to hit fuel cut. Mods are in my profile. As of rite now my car idles good 14.7 to 15.3 and the mid is rite around 11.3 to 11.9 on the wideband. My car feels really strong at mid But when I go into wot around 5k and up it leans out to 15.7 and bam fuel cut. Been tunning my car with Maf-t. Maf-t is set to aux 0 base2 idle3 mid0 wot0. This is all at 15 psi to 18psi as I do have some boost creep also.I'm broke as of now. So cheap fix only please. Thanks

That's what I did at first. It's good to get used to the program and how everything works first. Then you can see how things change once you begin to throw parts on and know what to do to get it to run properly the first time around.

So you start off ecmlink with the base dsm tune right? and just go from there? I've never had to tune squat but i understand whats involved. Just wanting to know what the starting point is with ecmlink.

Good starting point for new ECMlink users are the how-to videos. good to see a fellow New yorker on here!

Oh ok, didnt know they existed. Yeah im upstate. Been out of the DSM game for about 8 years but now i have the itch, and, well you know how that goes. Dont even have the car yet and I'm deciding which software to buy LOL

Yes the demo videos are gold. Start with dialing in your idle then take a cruise log and run mafcomp to dial in your mass air flow sensor properly. From there you just do some wot logs and get your top end maf calibrated then it's just messing with the fuel/timing tables to get the most power out of your setup. That's just the simple way of putting it, ecmtuning website will tell you everything you need to know.

Sweet, thanks.

I would start with a 2g timing map as they are less aggressive, but feel free to try both. I have never run a 1g map, just to be safe with my tuning. MTC

Installed Ecmlink car runs good. But I need to tune the crusing speed it's kinda rich.12.6 to 13.3 on the wideband. This is at highway speeds 70 mph. The idle is good 14.3 to 14.6. I get 12.5 for the half throttle pull and The wide open is way lean though. Don't know y it goes to 14.7 and 15.0 this is at 15psi only. Where do I adjust these things on my Ecmlink?

The fact that it is way lean on WOT is the most concerning. Can you post a log? Log a value called "WBFactor" I am guessing that it is way off. If you look it up on the ecmlink wiki it will tell you how to adjust to make it 0%. Basically for every % or WBFactor you have you need to add that much air. For every -% of WBFactor you need to subtract air. Are you knocking like mad? Do you have your CEL set to a knock indicator?
Once again if you can post a log, I am not a master at ECMlink but have been through some of this already myself and maybe can help you out.

ok finally i had time to do some logs. my wideband is hook up as a stand alone so its not linked with ecmlink. as i see in this log the injectors are max out. the injector duty is at 108% at 18.9psi. i have an 255 fuel pump not yet in stalled and getting 1000cc injector asap. so far my gm maf and translator are still hooked up but not tunning with it any more. i also stop wot because the injector duty was at 108%. heres the post. please give info and thoughts on the next upgrades.

Doesnt look too bad. you should log your fuel trims to get those dialed in. 1000cc injectors are probably huge for what you are intending to do. Check out this calculator i made, it will help you select injectors. what are your goals? I went with 780's because they should support up to around 450 hp. Also, most recommend an adjustable fuel pressure regulator witha 255 pump. Depending on your goals you could go with a 190 pump and not need a afpr.

I have a fpr hooked up already. Just waiting on a rewire kit and injectors. I guess im just gonna run 850cc as I do intend to upgrade turbo to a fp 68. Thanks to every one who helped. As I'm done with this tread.
